Report to: Farm Field Manager

Under the direction of the Farm Field Manager, the Strawberry Picker is a part to full time position lasting for the five weeks of strawberry season. Strawberries often ripen around June 5-10th and stay strong until the 4th of July. Picking generally takes place in the morning to early afternoon, 7 days a week. We are looking for people who want to work hard, enjoy the company of their fellow workers, produce a worthwhile product, enjoy the outdoors (rain or shine), and dedicate their energies to the success of our cause. This position also works well for those who are interested in getting their foot in the farming industry door and can possibly transition to other field work at the end of the strawberry season. Steady workers will find themselves in excellent company.
In our daily work, we are:
Picking strawberries daily for 4-8 hours in all weather.
Logging the yield and delivering berries to the Farm Stand.
Following all established procedures.
Maintaining our high harvest quality expectations.
Harvest speed is important and routinely slow pickers will be dropped from the crew.
Our ideal candidate will have:
Willingness to work picking fruit for long periods, while maintaining quality.
Willingness to follow sanitation procedures and wear clean work clothes.
This position requires patience and heavy lifting.
Please Note: J1 Visa students are not permitted to work in the fields, per federal guidelines.
